T'ai Chi Exercises

Seminole Heights

Tampa, Florida

T'ai Chi, Qigong and I Ch'uan exercises are invigorating and fun to do! The exercises we do at T'ai Chi in Seminole Heights include hundreds of stretching and strengthening movements developed during the past 2,500 years and passed from teacher to student. Your instructor in Seminole Heights, Mark McGee, is a Senior Instructor in T'ai Chi Ch'uan and Qigong. It is his desire to help you develop a daily exercise routine that will help you meet all your goals for improving health and dealing with daily and accumulative stress.

Students first learn the importance of how to stand and move in a way that maximizes the natural strength of the body. That includes using the bones of the feet, legs and hips properly as well as the muscles and joints of the lower body. Power for physical movement is rooted in the feet, developed in the legs, controlled by the waist, and manifested in the fingers.

The exercises at T'ai Chi in Seminole Heights begin with Static Qigong (Motion in Stillness) and Active Qigong (Stillness in Motion). Movement exercises include Rowing, Walking, Push Hands, and Form practice. You will receive specific instruction during class in how to do each exercise and will have access to videos and websites that will enhance your understanding and practice during the week.

We are extremely pleased to announce the publication of The Chinese Five Word Song.
